“Izu 88 Pilgrim” has 444 kilometers of all processes. In Japanese, to combine the letter 4 is pronounced “Shi-Awase” and it means happiness.
There are 88 temples on the pilgrimage road, Heda has the 87th temple “Daijyoji”.
The Heda bus stop is just in front of the Tokiwaya.
So you can come to Heda by bus and stay in the Tokiwaya, on the way back, you pilgrim the “Daijyoji”, cross over the mountain on foot and pilgrim the 88th temple “Shuzenji” and slowly return home.
